Along with the first six issues of the first Transformers G1 series, Dreamwave’s upcoming G1 trade will include an eight page preview of the previously unscheduled Volume II - the sequel to the first miniseries. Dreamwave has confirmed for Newsarama that the next G1 miniseries will begin in April, and will reunite writer Chris Sarracini with artist Pat Lee.
According to Dreamwave’s Adam Fortier, the six-issue miniseries is being prepared as an “event” of sorts due to…well, due to what Lee and Sarracini’s last Transformers miniseries debut did, as well as the fact that the mini will be Lee’s last word on the Transformers, as other projects will be occupying his time in the coming months.
“We’ve basically designed it to be the ultimate story for Pat,” Fortier said. “We’ll tell other Transformer stories, but Pat won’t. Chris is doing a great job on the story so far, with some assists from Simon Furman, so it’s really shaping up to be something special.”

Now fugitives of justice, Optimus Prime and the Autobots find themselves enemies of the world that they once risked their lives to defend.
But who is this new player and how was he able to unify both the Autobots and Decepticons? More importantly, what are his true intentions? And what happens when the indestructible Megatron dec |
